DLS and CBA and dem other crybabies wrong once more.
Can we start a “Gareth Aird gets it wrong-o-meter” or similar.
Dude is as bad as the Kouk.
Most bank economists have similar predictions. You are better off throwing darts at a dartboard. At least it used to beat predictions by experts when the Herald Sun did share prediction games.
What a fucktard
He’s got a great record!
Paid a squillion of taxpayer $ to consult to Melb City Council Sally Capp and his other Labor mates.
Got to get me on that Labor Luvvie grift
How about the RBA rate tracker on the ASX wildly wrong again
How do I profit off this as I can’t find any betting on interest rates any more
We’ll we’re at the 4% mark which I thought would be lights out for property 12-15 months ago. Once more and more roll off fixed rate over H2 shits gonna get real interesting so I look forward to how this plays out.
Immigration to infinity means the RBA rate is probably closer to 2-3% though without this policy aspect.
So maybe we can go to high 4s max.
I have no idea in Sydney in particular who is buying property at current prices, with rates where they are. Half decent suburbs still $2m and even with a household income of say $300k and $400k deposit it’s basically not possible.
At this point you should basically have to show Source of Wealth for buying a $2 mill property
Who the fuck are these people? If only someone in our huge property media could investigate this obvious question
Intergenerational wealth transfers and foreign buyers posing as students are increasingly the owner plausible answer. And no doubt the top 1% trying to pick market bottoms.
Sold volumes are the real thing they’re still pretty poor down 17% Y/Y in Sydney and down 40% in Melbourne
Days on market also up quite a bit from last year not good health metrics
I think Peachys dead cat bounce call is likely the correct one for now
Days on market…
Every last retard who writes on property, claims to be a property etc. has no idea this is the leading indicator. They still quote Clearance rates the fucking tards.
Not everyone is a first home buyer. They could have bought 10 years ago, built up a lot of equity, paid down much of the loan.
True but how many people blow $80k+ on stamp duty to move from one end of Sydney to the other or bought some small house or townhouse 10 years ago and only now are upgrading at the absolute most expensive point in history
Probably the same people that drop $100k on a German car that will be worth $20k in 10 years.
Was hoping he’d really ramp that shit to 0.5%
Anyway off to beg some paid for lunches from Boomer relatives
If I learnt anything from all the time I wasted listening to MB, it’s that Australian property defies gravity and logic. With all these rate rises yet in the past few weeks there’s all this news about property in Melbourne/Sydney moving up again. How people are still paying the same price ($1million) for a house when rates are 5-6% vs 2%… I just shake my head this country really is different.
Yes, we really are different and EmBee still hasn’t worked that out unlike many on this site. The government has shown it will everything it can to stop prices falling. 400,000+ migrants this year shows how serious they are.
Yes exactly. Probably one of the first things I ever said on this site was that prices will only fall when banks and government let them and they will be positioned on the right side of the play. Funny because 5 years ago when we were all talking about immigrants we were called racist. Now literally everyone is talking about it because it’s affecting them directly. The amount of damage current government will cause will be huge, but they know no other way.
banks and government let them and they will be positioned on the right side of the play.
Will never happen*.
*Fiat basically means eternal debt enslavement. Only when fiat breaks will that dream be possible.
But that means breaking free of the economic thinking of our monetarists elites, who define both the problem and the Overton window in terms of economic thinking. Essentially its now a cultural issue too.
The real question is how this ends.
That are the main inflation contributors right now? What are they likely to be? These will drive interest rates higher.
>400k pa migration is putting a rocket under rents and that feeds right into inflation. Falling AUD will accellerate price hikes due to scarcity overseas. Rising energy prices as far as the eye can see (mostly caused by leftist politicians) will keep inflation up in everything we buy. At some point interest rates will have to rise above persistent inflation. Then it’s game over for rising house prices because there’s no way wages can rise to cover interest with high immigration and low productivty growth.
When enough people are going hungry because they can’t pay the rent or mortgage then you will get action on the streets. How much is enough? I suspect the first signs will appear in the cheapest suburbs. Keep an eye on crime rates.
How to prepare? I think hedging falling AUD is a good idea, but contingent on US rates and QE unwind. How to hedge against falls in your house price? The fact that I am even thinking that might be an indication that there will soon be enough demand for property derivatives to warrant a market in which to trade them. Might be a good time to start a buiness.
Yep, how does this stupidity end? Logically it ends with the loss of what we consider to be basic human rights. It ends when the income from our labour is insufficient to pay for even our most basic needs, today it’s shelter, tomorrow medicine, in a couple of years even food will be out of reach for most Aussies. It ends when we accept this new form of Feudalism, as anyone that studies history will tell you a serf is only a serf because they accept serfdom.
It’s hard to fathom why average Aussies are championing this outcome, do they hate each other enough that they’d reintroduce slavery? And make no mistake about it economic slavery is slavery.
Yes, we really are different and EmBee still hasn’t worked that out unlike many on this site.
Following the GFC, and after waiting from 2003-08, I realised they were never going allow property prices to materially fall or the banking sector to risk implosion.
Don’t feel smart about it, just releaved and sad. Very sad at what has been done to my country and its children.
or maybe interest rates don’t work the way you think they do
Wait interest rates don’t increase peoples mortgage repayment on the same principal? Well then you’ve to me there…
Don’t respond to him
That’s my policy too.
The private sector is a net saver
Therefore increasing interest rates has a greater effect on increasing deposits than it does on increasing interest payments
Blah blah cooker troll blah
Bought in 2021 a few years after I stopped reading embee. Took a low 7 figure loan at about 6x LTI, 33% deposit with the rest of my savings in the offset. Got to 90% of what my parents did at the same age in the 90s – buying a house without a loan.
Offset was full in about 2 months, so when rates went from 2.5 to 6 or whatever they are now, there was one constant – zero interest repayments. In the last financial year I have saved over 40k in interest repayments. Judging by the reactions at work this afternoon, almost everyone in my profession has borrowed to their eyeballs.
At the time I felt that I overpaid, but felt forced into it as there weren’t any other options in terms of renting. Now it looks like the much better option due to the craziness of the rental market which is likely only going to get worse with another 400k migrants.
One day you and mb might start to question why things don’t happen the way you think they should
Comprehension fail. For a doctor you really are a dumb cunt.
The private sector is a net saver. It has more deposits than debt
Increasing interest rates therefore increases the amount of money paid to the private sector
why do you think you guys and all the MB commentariat are all so pumped about these rate rises?
More deposits in the bank (as was confirmed yesterday by AHPRA) And also a higher velocity of money
That equals inflation – pretty simple stuff
Definitely makes sense to lump the most broke 18 year old in with the richest man at Davos in the highly precise category of “the private sector”
Net means net
you can see it isn’t working – I’m sure you would have all predicted a depression and deflationary collapse if someone had suggested that interest rates were going to be lifted to 4.1%
it didn’t work out the way you thought it was going to
just look at argentina and japan
How does an increase in bank deposits prove that anything isn’t working?
it means there is more money in private hands
isn’t this supposed to be reducing inflation
Maybe some people sold some assets at all time record highs
Maybe it’s some of those record corporate profits
There have been massive cash reserves for a very long time including the post GFC years you constantly insist had no inflation
you aren’t the brightest
if somebody sold at all time high, it means somebody bought at all time high
That’s what debt is for cunt
Plus it’s a globalised world mate
You don’t need to do all transactions with your mates at the pub
This country has a trade surplus meaning that money actually comes in from strange far off lands and ends up in bank accounts. And that shit we export went up in price a lot
Coming-onomics is the most blinkered load of shit since the invention of religion
Demand from the external sector doesn’t produce new AUD
>As well as trading in Australia, there is considerable turnover of the Australian dollar in other markets. Global trade in the Australian dollar averaged around US$450 billion per day in April 2019 (the date of the most recent global survey), making it the fifth most traded currency in the world, and the AUD/USD the fourth most traded currency pair (Graph 10). The size of the market indicates that the exchange rate is being determined in a liquid, active and competitive marketplace.
Plenty of external interest in the AUD and plenty of AUD overseas to be repatriated into Aussie bank accounts when we have USD to sell for it.
I imagine AUD would be frequently borrowed into existence to facilitate forex transactions as well.
Trading back and forth doesn’t produce new AUD or destroy it
A big chunk of mortgage debt is funded from overseas. It was as high as 50% pre-Covid. That does imply capital gains = more money in private hands.
Do capital losses mean less money in private hands then ?
no of course it doesn’t
also not sure what the significance of debt being overseas “funded” is except on currency exchange rates
mortgage debt isn’t funded by anything its just banks maintaining capital ratios
Do capital losses mean less money in private hands then ? no of course it doesn’t
Actually, yes it does. If a bank issues bonds to foreigners to fund mortgage credit, the bank owes the face value plus coupon. This equates to the principle plus interest (less bank commission) on the loan that needs to flow back overseas.
The house needs need to be sold for a capital gain higher than principle plus coupon interest for it to be a net inflow into the country. Anything less becomes a net outflow. This comment should probably be stated in aggregate (credit needs to keep growing) but you know what I mean.
mortgage debt isn’t funded by anythingits just banks maintaining capital ratios
mortgage debt isn’t funded by anything
its just banks maintaining capital ratios
You are essentially denying that a wholesale debt market exists.
Site won’t properly link svg images. Click on link.
Firstly, Banks relative solvency doesn’t change the amount of deposits in the Australian banking system
Second, bonds don’t fund mortgage credit the bonds are sold after the mortgage is created
Third, AUD cannot “ flow” overseas it can only stay in the Australian banking system – at least an Australian bank subsidiary
are the banks are selling debt in a foreign currency ? as far as I know they are not
You are still clueless on foreign exchange. Settlements are at the RBA which does in fact adjust it’s balance sheet.
Can you explain what you are talking about
RBA only manages foreign exchange settlements for the australian government
private transactions are managed privately, by SWIFT, CLS etc
RBA hasn’t been significantly involved in commercial foreign currency exchange since 1983
Don’t confuse your individual $1k FX holiday money with large constant money flows into or out of the country. FX dealers don’t want to carry risk of holding onto large FX positions in a foreign currency. They will aggregate smaller payments which are then exchanged and settled either directly or indirectly (via another intermediary) at RBA or other central bank.
an intermediary handles the transaction
the RBA does not get involved except at the domestic bank level with ES transfers
Is CLS a domestic bank? Or is it an FX intermediary?
“CLS Bank has an Exchange Settlement Account (ESA) with the Reserve Bank “
Introduction | Continuous Linked Settlement: RITS Session Times and Operational Arrangements – July 2015 | RBA
its a private entity headquartered in New York
CLS Group is a commercial entity that is operated on a not-for-profit basis, like other financial utilities such as DTCC and Euroclear. Its shareholders have governance rights but do not gain dividend income or an increase in the value of their shares from retained earnings. As of 2022, CLS’s website disclosed 79 banks from multiple jurisdictions as its shareholders
hard to debate with you when your economic knowledge is 40 years out of date
you were probably doing uni before keating floated the dollar or something?
I will take that as a petulant acknowledgement that you are wrong. FX is ultimately settled via central banks, and not some fanciful perpetual entry in a bank’s computer system with no FX carry risk.
the RBA literally just told you that it does not settle FX transactions
what the hell are you talking about?
Even wikipedia tells you how CLS manages FX settlements
RBA literally told you:
1.1 CLS Bank Access to RITSCLS Bank has an Exchange Settlement Account (ESA) with the Reserve Bank and is a member of the SWIFT Payment Delivery System (APCA’s High Value Clearing System), through which CLS pay-ins and pay-outs in AUD are made.
1.1 CLS Bank Access to RITS
CLS Bank has an Exchange Settlement Account (ESA) with the Reserve Bank and is a member of the SWIFT Payment Delivery System (APCA’s High Value Clearing System), through which CLS pay-ins and pay-outs in AUD are made.
so fucking what?
CBA has an ES account at the RBA too
depositor at CBA wants to send money to the USA -> CBA transfers ES balance from its account at the RBA to the CLS account at the RBA ->recipients bank receives USD at its account at the fed from CLS which also has an account at the fed
what the fuck has the RBA done in this situation other than give CLS an ES account?
how hard is this for you to understand?
Show me some doco to prove it works that way. Not being a smart arse I just want confirmation. I will assume it works that way for now because it will still prove the point.
If we had a continual flow of AUD to USD, the money in USD ES account is transferred to private sector (more money in private hand), the money is transferred from private sector to ES account at RBA. AUD effectively taken out of circulation?
What happens when CLS US ES account drops to zero? How does that money get replenished? I am presuming that CLS Bank will not be allowed to have a $100 billion bank balance at RBA, and negative similar amount at US Fed, and also carry the FX risks associated with that. At some point there must be a rebalancing (FX Swap) between the two central banks.
Meh I cbf
the RBA and Wikipedia already told you how it works
there is no AUD taken out of circulation – for every buyer there’s a seller that’s how a floating currency works
this isn’t the 1970s anymore
Oh no. Please don’t run away ES account guru. Explain how your version of reality, with potentially trillions of dollars of FX imbalances building up and laying idle in an ES account, money can no longer be used by consumers, has no effect on consumer spending.
If all instructions can be settled, then at the end of a settlement day all pay-ins will have been paid out again to the payees and CLS will have a zero balance on its central bank accounts.
If I read this correctly, using example of transferring AUD to USD. Australian bank must credit CLS ES account. When it settles, Foreign Bank receives USD, and Australian ES Account balance reset to zero. That does sound like AUD disappearing out of the system.
If somebody with AUD wants USD, then somebody with USD has to want AUD
No AUD or USD is destroyed
There is no development of FX imbalances – the exchange rate adjusts to demand and trade deficits/surplus
That is the very definition of a floating currency
Australia has been doing this since 1983 and most of the rest of the world since bretton woods ended
This is one of the most basic concepts in economics – I don’t know why you are having a hard time accepting it
Because with massive one-way money flows it seems fishy that a private institution will be holding onto that much FX risk. I will find out.
Britt and Dave aren’t worried by todays interest rate rise
Neither of them work and both seem happy to burn through the cash. Interest rate rises may worry them sooner than you think. As they say “a fool and their money are soon parted”.
I doubt they have any debt
4% of $3m is 120k/pa
$3m less the new house less extravagant holidays. They’ll blow the cash soon enough.
Gen z doing a wotsisname…CashFlo guy
Gen X 2. The dry, simple, opportunistic ones. I’m over them already. I don’t think I’ll stress over them being possibly replaced by poos.
The cope is strong in you
What cope? Just not impressed by Gen X spawn but at least they are way better than millennials were in their 20s with their hipster and cancel culture faggotry.
CashFlo guy Nathan Birch did pretty well for himself. EmBee used to belittle him, but compare the pair now. Birch is still doing well and EmBee are now trying the mortgage broking game.
I’m not saying they’re losers. I’m saying they are pieces of shit, and I want to replace them with poos.
Yeah it’s really profound that these basic bitch meatheads have won massively and intellectuals like MB and their followers look like absolute fools and then some.
Mid level McMansions stuff on say northern beaches or castle hill isn’t that much less than shitters in Mosman.
Castle hill is nuts
Prices definitely going up again
Yeah it’s got a good mix of people. The odd westy legacy bogan still mincing around and a bit of leb scum but overall pretty good.
But still a bit noveaux rich and garish. But that can be more fun than being st ives fag or something.
Bible basher heartland
Mostly micks that go to cheap private schools I think.
Anyway you can’t win everyone is a flog in one way or another.
seems like the kind of place where people reckon hogs breath is fine dining
It’s a nice place really
It was ok at first, then they started serving up what were obviously coles steaks.
Theres some decent looking Asian and wog places at the Westfield restaurant bit. But most white people just want a fuggin schnitty. Theres a good kraut place that does pretty much only that. A schnitty fest. I had the sausages but they were shit, more like frankfurts. The schnitties looked good though.
RBAs own models showed no difference leaving rates at 3.35% or raising them to 4.8% immediately
begs the question doesn’t it
The RBA is so optimistic that utopia is coming no matter what they do
Just like their predictions of big wages growth every single year
If I had come on here in late 2021 and told you that in 18 months time
-interest rates would be 4.1% -unemployment 3% -share market and property prices within 10% of all time highs
what do you reckon you would have said ?
how do you rationalise it post hoc
im trying to get into the mind of the economic NPC
Well we would have said it’s
Inflation No Immigration Profits from inflation
Fuck you’re an idiot
no actually you would have called me a property spruiker up to my eye balls in mortgage
Which is what you all did call me
Mainstream people starting to ask the right questions
Cashed up boomers spending more not less they make up the positive part of net saving by the private sector
Yeah, you might be discovering distributional effects I’ve been trying to tell you about.
how do u find these old postz
Coming would still hit it
Lol, could make a fun joke post.
You know the pic at the very beginning of this article featuring Phil?
Coming would hit that, too!
Your poor mother.
Yes funny….but really? You keep them all in your head?
It’s just 10 days ago, it’s not hard.
“11 Million people were burned in pits with some hay!”
keep up. There was coal and other solid fuels too. And liquid fuel aplenty too, as it turns out that very little was required.
its either -severe narcissism -severe autism -“she” is a paid intelligence employee and this website is a honeypot
you can decide which is most likely
In personally convinced capitalism or certainly our current economic framework is essentially one giant multi decade Ponzi scheme.
The old money wins every time.
In personally convinced capitalism or certainly our current economic framework is essentially one giant multi decade Ponzi scheme. The old money wins every time.
its not capitalism as such, I believe, it’s capitalism within the parameters that have been set up for it in EZFKA.
Robert2013 shared some analysis that had examples – Denmark, Netherlands, Norway – of capitalist countries with large and comfortable middle classes. (https://www.ezfka.com/2023/05/30/a-couple-of-misanalyses-by-anglosphere-journos/)
the problem of old money always winning& similar is the result of “the market” being idolised and ultimately becoming a measure of government, then a law onto itself, then the end in itself
that is, rather than having market systems as one of the arrangements to serve people, people become units to serve the market. Government and law are captured.
I’m guessing that Denmark, Netherlands, Norway, etc are places where they still have a social framework which contains the role of markets. Non-money goals, ideals, identity and values. For convenience, we may loosely call this framework “culture”.
As Stewie says, and as we sometimes discuss here, culture matters.
It all comes back to the issue pinpointed by Humpty Dumpty
…which is to be master?…
its not capitalism as such, I believe, it’s capitalism within the parameters that have been set up for it in EZFKA.
(then, possibly the deity which is to be worshiped?)
Yep our economic framework or implementation of capitalism is mostly to blame with safety bumpers that have been either watered down or simply removed.
Looking at you CGT discount, death tax removal, neg gearing, the creation of increasingly convoluted tax schemes such as trusts and offshore companies and on it goes.
Hence it almost taking on Ponzi like attributes whereby the most wealthy capitalists (correlates generally to those that have generally had wealth to start with in life) extract the economic benefits of those that started playing the game later than them feeding it all upwards.
I suppose to summarize I’m suggesting at this point Australia is really some sort of debt feudal plutocracy at this point.
This place is fucked and so is most of the western world.
Potentially in the case of land passed down etc yeah
distribution or not
the private sector is overall a net saver
because the government sector is a net debtor
When interest rates go up there are two effects that increase deposits and money in private hands
-interest effects on existing deposits overwhelm interest effects on existing private debts -government payments (and therefore deficits) of interest increase
these both act together to markedly increase private sector savings/deposits
if the government was a net saver, and the private sector a net debtor then the effects would be very different
Especially dumb comment when over 50yo make up half the adult population
and the only age group that hasn’t seen it’s spending increase makes up about 5%
Seems you’re basically describing some household cash flow channel effect?
Would be interesting to see this redone with up to date data.
The author of that article is an idiot and seems to not understand basic concepts of supply and demand
He should go back to web design as per his mini bio
Premier Chris Minns said the increased frequency of trucks blocking the tunnel was “a huge headache for Sydney commuters”“I feel like the communication isn’t getting out to particularly drivers … I’m not sure whether as a result of the skills shortage across Sydney, you’ve got more inexperienced drivers that have bigger loads bigger trucks, and are not understanding how to navigate Sydney’s traffic the way they should,” he said.“This is happening on a routine basis, it seems to be knocking out the road network every other Monday. That’s intolerable for tens of thousands of commuters.”

pajeet strikes again
YOU WERE SUPPOSED BRING BALANCE TO THE SKILLS SHORTAGE NOT MAKE IT WORSE
So many weasel code words in there, what fucking cowards these Labor fucktards in power are.
“As a result of the skills shortage” = Pajeets flooding in.
“Inexperienced truck drivers” = Pajeets.
“not understanding how to navigate Sydney” = Pajeets.
Just fucking say it you coward. Your mates did this.
Convicts are prone to weasel words and there is a great legacy of wardens using them successfully – weasel words embraced by convicts. MYpenalty, my Gov, mediCar, to name a few. There’s nothing my in a traffic penalty 0.4s into red light behind a 22 wheeler obstructing your view of traffic lights, or 62km in a 60 zone, or 110km speed limit on freeways which “saves lives”.
i think ukraine’s counter offensive has started. so far they’re not using their best assets and men but it is not going well. if this really is ‘it’ things are not promising for them.
quit being so anti-uke, man. Bring us the positive news, instead.
also, it all depends on timeframes and the assumptions we make about the duration of the war. If this is something that will drag for 5-10 years, Ukrainians are in trouble because they will certainly run out of men.
if it’s just another year or two that they have to hang in there (eg until Putin is out, because old age takes him), they can be successful.
Yep, geopolitics aren’t a thing and the war is solely because of Putin
You could write for the New York Times with takes like that
i loved that ep haha
she’s got a new hat!!!
Coming would hit that too.
well yeah same
Apparently from a 16yo…
The Ukraine will not last another year, maybe year-and-a-half. The NATO will run out of stuff to give them. They are already losing the appetite. The US recently announced, I think a week ago or so, a new package of military aid to Ukraine. It was valued at $300M, only, and it was their 39th (!) aid package. Half of this new package are set aside for 35 Patriot missiles to replace used ones.
Recall two things: 1) Patriot systems used in Kiev tend to send up a salvo of ~20 missiles to try to stop one Russian incoming target – so these new missiles might last a couple of days. 2) Previous US military aid packages were measured in billions of dollars!
Russians are doing exactly what the science of war calls for – war of attrition. They do not need to take and hold land, they need to keep their troops as far away from the battlefield, and to destroy the enemy. Hence, they first concentrated on taking out Ukrainian air force, then their energy supply, then their air defense systems, and now will be finishing the destruction of tanks and other armored vehicles, preferably, by air strikes, drones, or artillery fire. Zelensky cannot not attack, he has painted himself into the corner by promising a crushing (!) counterattack, and taking his former territory back. We were promised winter offensive, while the ground was frozen, but Ukraine didn’t have enough armored vehicles and tanks. Then these deliveries started, but the spring came and the ground got wet, so this offensive got delayed until late spring. The Russians in the meantime kept hitting stockpiles and troops meant for the offensive. And now we are in summer, and the offensive, according to Ukraine is yet to start. It will only start if the Ukraine has a win, however minor, so they can demonstrate the might of their army during the upcoming NATO summit in July and try to beg for more money and armaments, and, of course, F-16s.
So, the good news, this war will not last 5 or 10 years. And parts of Ukraine will undoubtedly be a part of the EU or NATO, albeit as part of either Romania, Hungary or Poland. Win-win all around!
Mate in the UK is looking at a few properties in Ukraine, his birds polish which is relevant. I’m thinking of going in with him as well. I think the military opp will be over by Xmas next year.
And the money that will flow into the country will b massive. I missed the opportunity which Croatia provided in the early 00’s cause I was young and more interested in partying. Then could have purchased a waterfront large barn with big enough plot of land for 7k pounds.
I understand Poland to have become a commercial powerhouse in the last decade or a bit longer, and reckon their is opportunity to feed into that. Ukkies are already heading home to parts of the west which I am told is largely unaffected.
From what I understand, property can be cheap, but the whole war thing (and post-war) would make me think long and hard. The amount of guns in the country will be enormous, and with much of the industrial capacity either destroyed or annexed, whomever is left in the country would be looking to feed themselves. Just take that into consideration.
Foreigners cannot buy agricultural land in Ukraine (unless, of course, you are Black Rock or some such). Otherwise, the sky is the limit.
Ukraine is discovering why air support is important in modern war. Right now they can only manage zerg rushes that are getting mowed down.
I reckon they drop it soon if they can’t manage a victory somewhere. They need to retain enough troops to be able to defend and keep the country from collapsing.
surovkin 100% made the right call to evacuate kherson last year and his cautiousness/lack of sentimentality demonstrates his effectiveness as a military commander
russia got ridiculed/dogpied for this decision (including by me, initially) but look at what could have happened had the dam been blown with russian forces still on the other side of the dneiper, absolute disaster\
shows why retards like me are commenting on obscuro blogs and he’s actually in the position he’s in
What’s this dam thing?
(for non-military autists, please)
yeah a dam got blown up
wee don’t know who did it, might have been ukraine, might have ben russia, might have been a structural collapse
it has flooded everything downriver from it including kherson city and the banks of the dneiper river that flow out to the sea of azov
when russia had troops in kherson city last year, if this had happened then they would have been stranded from the flooding and vulnerable to attack from ukraine
surovikin orderred russian soldiers to leave in nov or whenever it was last yr
a decision that was routinely mocked/criticised by western media and online etc
turns out it wasn’t such a dumb thing to do in hindsight
Ah, interesting, thanks.
will need to go find some footage of the aftermath
its pretty bad lol it’s flooding everything
Saw some stat that said the Nova Khakova dam held the equivalent of 33 Sydney Harbours. How does Zelensky still have any support internally? He’s driving the UKR population into a giant grave while he’ll step off to Israel right when the last one is killed,
Telegram is your only friend for footage like that
Oh, but I don’t have telegram!
such a restriction on free information is due to your command centre making a flawed decision. rebel, install it, seek a fee channels that tickle your fancy, enjoy uncensored plethora of good information squeezed in-between shipload of rubbish and flase info (unlike other “socials” feeding you only the later)
An interesting and informative link on the dam thing
I appreciate that Mr Mark. It was good how that text addressed the various thoughts that I had about the incident like
the bit that doesn’t really satisfy me is the idea that Ukraine took the thing out with some missile.
id have thought that any missile would bounce off the surface of a significant structure like a dam, like a firecracker.
To smash it good you’d need to get your dynamite within/inside (hence relevance of who had control of the area)
the bit that doesn’t really satisfy me is the idea that Ukraine took the thing out with some missile.id have thought that any missile would bounce off the surface of a significant structure like a dam, like a firecracker.
Fair point, but the construction method was an earthen dam with a concrete overlay. Once concrete layer is cracked / damaged, and the water starts seeping in, its lights out, especially if the upstream pressure increases (which it did in the days prior due to Ukraine draining upstream dam).
Plus some damage may have been done prior, in October 2022, when Ukraine boasted about hitting the dam.
Fog of war and all.
From what I understand they are going to have problems having enough water for irrigation in Crimea now, so it would make no sense for Russia to sabotage Crimea for years to come and create a humanitarian crisis to “win” a skirmish.
Don’t forget the yanks haven’t immediately leapt to blame Russia, label it a war crime, vow to hold those responsible to account.
Yeah he looks like a fucking genius now. After he made that decision I didn’t read anything about the war for a week, I was so pissed lmao.
Still a dumb move for Russia to annex Kherson though.
nah i think putin was burning the bridges with that decision. it was his way of saying no backing out now, legally now russia has no choice but to return to kherson city etc or it’s violating its own constitution

Coming back to eternal muse
Oops, Emma Renay did it again
It’s becoming obvious,
That is one worrying facial expressions I’ve ever seen.
Paging Coming (below)
Yeah, coming 100% would
Coming would also hike rates to get us out of a recession.

It is not a documentary meme, it is just a meme.
Please feel free to post! A good meme is like a croissant and a black coffee after a night of binge snorting
At least normies will die off quietly. They’d rather die than give the “far right” any respect. Lol.
When a normie dies, he wants to die peacefully and quitely, in his sleep, NOT screaming and shouting, like passengers in his car
If they had an inkling of humanity they’d at least give some cause to the jabby. But they don’t. Because they’re cold blooded scum, and they’re gonna be replaced by hot blooded vindaloo poos.
He just needs to sign a decree that Ukraine won and all land needs to be given back. Then the UN will pass a non-binding resolution, promptly vetoed by China and Russia, the USA and NATO can claim victory, and switch to the next thing – Taiwan.
Mortgage Buffers technically no longer exist.
CommSec on Twitter: “John Lonsdale from APRA: 3% still considered best for loan serviceability test. But he noted that if a bank thought there was a good borrower that failed the test, the bank could still write the loan. APRA will put out guidance on this shortly. #ausecon #auspol #housing #commsec” / Twitter
Good comment here on MB
Eventually one of the central banks will say it out loud
Mega65 3 hours ago Higher interest rates probably won’t do much for inflation, just like in the 80s. What eventually lowered inflation in the 80s and into the 90s was opening up the US oil economy and production in China. Higher interest rates for debtors means higher income for creditors, it is a zero sum game. those creditors can now spend spend spend, and those debtors are now no longer destroying the money supply by paying back the debt, they are either extending or only paying off the interest. Remember, money is created from new loans and loans/money are only destroyed by paying back the principle. In addition, areas of supply driven inflation may be created by higher rates. As higher rates mean certain folk can spend but those same rates may impact expansion of capex of business to increase supply for those folk. Business will be fine though as they’ll get the higher prices, just like Russia has been doing fine with the sanctions. Also, of course we have government borrowing, are they going to stop borrowing because of rates? This borrowing will create more money. This crap load more than the above to add. Basically though, I don’t think there is enough evidence to suggest for certain that high rates reduce inflation. Could indeed have zero effect or in fact be the opposite.
I would just add that it isn’t a zero sum game
private sector is a net saver, so interest effects on private deposits will outweigh interest effects on private debts
public sector is a net debtor, so interest rate rises will result in larger deficits/interest spending which will also increase private deposits/savings
I hope one day you figure out how come that no matter how high one is raising the IR, if these are still lower than the actual inflation they still work as low IR environment.
Reminds me of an old saying I heard in woglands: ” I’ve shortened my trouses for the third time and I still can’t get it how come they remain too short” (hope this was not too abstract for you to see it as “incoherent”)
so as a thought experiment if interest rates were 10% tomorrow
all existing deposits would be receiving ~10% interest, and all government debt would be issued with a 10% coupon rate
that would be even more inflationary than what it is today because the private sector is a NET SAVER and the public sector is a net DEBTOR
there would be defaults on interest payments, but we all know that they would not be liquidated or written off by the banks – come on now.
Based. “National News LiveRBA governor says people can cut back spending, work more” Lol give em the ol’ boomer fuck you got mine treatment.
It is true. No-one is forced to get a mortgage.
the only way to win this game is to refuse to play it
Together we have quit smoking, drinking, gym, almost anything you could think off, The mrs currently works fri/sat/sun which are the days me or a family member can watch the kids
lmao at these white trash
his whole post history is about playing world of Warcraft too
Aussie bludgers going to get btfo
why do i suspect a lot of these stories are totally made up
Yeah dunno been getting some boomer attitude off my banh mi place and another thai joint. They think I smoke and aren’t a mortgage whore or something.
Wek hud and get the heouse, maid with laaarrv.
Legacy unit in Bali bashes hooker when asked for payment.
You can criticise all you like, but Ben Fordham is often very good value on these issues that the rest of mainstream media won’t touch
he is being very persistent with the brittany higgins fraud
fmd sounds like absolute chaos
Don’t worry the voice will fix thing
Wonder if this is one of the ex Hawthorn players suing the club for racism? He’s still wearing his footy jumper so.,,
he wasn’t eligible for the covid jabbadabbadoo , so it couldn’t have been the jabbadabba
So what happened here, cookers?
flus always been as or more deadly for young ppl than covid right
and the flu vaccine has only ever been shown to be effective in young people
it actually increases mortality in the elderly as far as we know
Jabbadabba is more like a persistent source of virus like particles having a massive party in one’s body eventually going ballistic and demolishing the rave club, figuraratively speaking. Tick tock…
lmao you are fucking retarded
There’s an echo in your tiny mind champ.
Looks like the noose is closing on Changpeng Zhao or CZ
As I wrote in December last year when I concluded my Triology of “The Biggest Dildo in Crypto”:
Anyhow everything that happens from now on in will simply be a matter of observing due process. I think the more pertinent question is now – “Who Next?“
I also wrote back in December:
Anyone who has coins sitting with these offshore, un-regulated exchanges, or their mainland affiliates is asking for trouble. If you do have crypto, self custody is probably the safest place to be right at the moment. The vast majority will still end up utterly worthless, but at least it won’t have been rehypothecated away.
Well now it would seem the SEC has lodged emergency orders:
The Securities and Exchange Commission filed an emergency motion in Washington, D.C. federal court Tuesday evening, asking a judge to freeze the assets of Binance’s U.S. platform and repatriate both fiat currency and crypto held by the service’s customers.
While this order only applies to Binance US, it basically means that no one will bank its parent or it customers going forward. Interesting the SEC action is also extending to Coinbase… one by one the SEC is going to close them all.
crypto is so retarded
Just wish they would hurry up and flush it
it’s emblematic of the retardation of the the 2020s
when did it start really getting huge
I agree, they should ban it. It’s vile.
No worries. Hong Kong is grearing up to take over with full approval of Beijing.
Why don’t they just cap the gas price at below pre-Ukraine War? What I hear from people in Europe is that they are getting smashed by gas prices, why aren’t the price caps working?
the biggest wealthcare parasites humanity has ever known want more
>Aged care expenditure is expected to reach $42 billion by 2026-27.
User pays unless you’re a motherfucking Boomer
In my experience most old people spend maybe a few weeks dying in the hospital. Other than that they live at home. Don’t know where all these old cunts eeking out their years are coming from. Must be westies.
Don’t worry, Labor will fix the Aged Care system, that was all fucked because of Scomo.
Just legalise euthanasia so the poor geriatric bastards are not kept as drooling zombies in age care facilities so they can have all of the wealth extracted from them before dying.
Maybe you should elect the right Premier. I know one looking for work…
really good points here
See how as VC money dries up all of the streaming services are looking more and more like Cable TV circa 20 years ago, with ads everywhere and ever-smaller content libraries.
— yep, steaming is done
Business profit 101 really
Screw your customers, employees and suppliers in the quest for max profits
I think a consolidation phase is looming the coming few years in the streaming industry
i think he’s trying to say the same thing that happened w/ cable tv is now happening with streaming. venture capital drying up so streaming companies have to put up prices bc the low cost models aren’t viable anymore
Long advertising agencies making bank ads. Some gook getting omg a backyard.
Made with laaaarv.
Classic bogan house.
Made with laaaaarv.
there was this other super shit sentimental one with this wog cunt showing his life growing up in rural vic playing footy then getting old etc, wish i could find it it was legit hilarious
The most evil companies have the best ads. AirBnB ones are really good too.
Those with property will just keep buying more and more of it, kicking house prices and now rents to new highs, supported by generous tax breaks, a banking oligopoly that’s always keen to lend and planning legislation that encourages those hooked to build higher and bigger.
It’s impossible for the real world economy to keep up with unlimited credit creation by banks.
Seems they can just ignore the debt.
UBI would help.
I am entitled to free shit. Minus the jab of course.
I don’t understand who is leaking all this shit?
How did they get hold of lisa wilkinsons and britts text messages? Why are they drip feeding them out?
Anyway its all a very bad look and highly suspicious, but no real smoking gun yet
wow even Karl Stefanovic is piling on now
Dai Le absolutely based, finally a chance to get revenge on the ALP
She replied: ‘I don’t think he is in the clear and obviously they were advocating for this case a lot.‘Absolutely,’ Ms Le replied, before adding that most things take a long time to be approved in government so it was unusual that such a large payment could apparently be approved so fast.‘You would want to ask how come it happened so quickly in this instance when everything else is so slow (at getting approved),’ Ms Le said.

Its hilarious watching the ALP water-carriers on twitter absolutely refuse to accept reality on this ronni salt claimed that lisa wilkinson is a “quality human being. Intelligent, thoughtful and a true leader among women. She is to be admired”
who the fk is ronnie salt
lefty twitter celebrity/pseudo journalist
basically the federal female version of PRguy17
Its unclear whether she’s a paid ALP operative since she uses a pseudonym
she is the one who broke the LNP/angus taylor water rights scandal if i remember correctly
i respected her for that, but of course as soon as ALP got in power the blinkers went on and she refuses to accept that albo could do anything wrong
EDIT: actually it turns out watergate may all have been a lefty beatup/conspiracy all along but I dunno, its the AFR so who can you trust
And guess who has their filthy fingerprints all over it again? Read the end of the article
Peter Fitzsimmons and Lisa Wilkinson
guess who has their filthy fingerprints all over it again
The story might have finally died there, but for Sun-Herald columnist and author Peter Fitzsimons, whose wife, Lisa Wilkinson, co-hosts The Project. Last Sunday Fitzsimons – another supporter of independent political candidates – published an account of an interview with Ronni Salt, whom he wrote “will never identify herself publicly, nor her Deep Throat – not even to me”.“Late on the night of releasing it all on Twitter, knowing it was out there and copies would have been made, and that powerful forces wanted her shut down, she deleted the thread and deactivated her own account,” Fitzsimmons wrote“I repeat: this is a very strange tale, a complicated saga. And it needs, urgently, more light. A large part of the complication is Taylor declining to give a full and frank account of the whole thing.”“Deep throat” and Ronni Salt communicated through an untraceable phone system called Signal, according to Fitzsimons. The source disguised their voice too, he wrote.

god damn man she sounds like a loser, in all fairness who fucking cares about these nobodies, PR guy would have been a total nothing if avi hadnt been a huge retard and tried to get mileage out of ‘unmasking’ them
i can guarantee you most australians wouldnt know who even friendlyjordies is
seems like they swung an election through multiple avenues of mistruth and propaganda
i reckon scomo was toast regardless
these things appear to be pretty cyclical
increasingly the lnp wont be competitive just bc there wont be enough boomers etc to vote for them though
alp state govts control every fucking state, what do you think is happening, demographic shift that’s what
I hope when Labor gets booted we can have one of those Parliaments full of weirdo parties and factions
Surely the Libs can’t come back with their voter base dying en masse every day
that could be the case yeah, the two main parties gone in favour of weirdos like the teals, but what’s the promise in that given these independents are even bigger faggots than the main party shills they’re replacing
Just entertainment value really
Might be harder to do shit like give all our fighter jets to Ukraine when Parliament is a disparate rabble
scomo was toast because all the media outlets (including MB) kept beating the drum
life was pretty fucking good for australians pre-election so it wasn’t a material deterioration in their conditions that caused dissatisfaction
Most of the media was pro Scomo and published utter fluff bullshit like this: https://www.smh.com.au/politics/federal/she-s-just-lovely-jenny-morrison-joins-scott-morrison-on-the-campaign-trail-20220518-p5amce.html
ScoMo had an autism level understanding of PR and being the ultimate Boomer isn’t going to cut it if you wanna be elected in a highly inequal Australia
when scomo left office inflation was 3% interest rates were 0% unemployment was <4% GDP growth was 4%
sounds pretty fucking good to me
look what’s happened since then
“life was pretty fucking good for australians pre-election”
tbh in a lot of respects lockdown mightnt have been so bad after all
only reprieve we ever got from the krush load
my rent was static during covid
people go on about how house prices kept going up but lockdown/closed borders kept up long enough they’d of eventually collapsed
“but the culture of sleaze!”
scomo was also to his credit the only PM who materially jacked welfare rates
only pm who has ever cut immigration to zero
all for the wrong reasons of course, even if it was all temporary
still better than anything albo has ever done
also gave short shrift to the tranny/abo/refugee lobby
for which he deserves credit
pushed back against china
scrapped that french submarine bullshit
he was pretty fucking good. bit of corruption but whatever in the grand scheme of things it doesn’t affect the average person’s life
wouldnt go so far to say he was actually good, but albo is so bad he looks alright in comparison
he was just hands off
did as little as possible
which is why the media tried to paint him as “incompetent”
probably because there weren’t enough schemes and NDIS-style plans for consultants and other apparatchiks to get their snouts in the trough
given how evil and incompetent politicians are that is good enough for me
Well you weren’t in Melbourne
what good is being able to go out to places if no one can afford it anyway
inflation and the post immigration krush load has created its own form of lockdown for anyone who isnt a boomer kunt
If you get a job you’ll be able to afford it
that wasn’t scomo’s fault
he wanted to do as little as possible about covid
you can’t blame him for lockdowns and you can’t even blame him for vaccine mandates
It was the ALP state premiers were hyperventilating
I still blame him. He was an utter pussy and did nothing to stop Dan from wielding absolute power. Probably too worried about Boomer votes.
he was just more interested in going to church and watching sportsball
first do no evil
In retrospect ScoMo was better because he wasn’t as effective in serving his masters
Instead of individual Libs robbing the country, now we send that money to the Vietnamese Communist Party and Ukraine
ScoMo was too obnoxious to survive anyway regardless of what we think of him, 7/10 normies would prefer Albo
yeah it ultimately boils down to that, his personality is bad
hes kind of funny if you’re on the narcissistic spectrum but to normies he’s pretty repugnant
normies get told what to think by the ABC and fairfax and murdoch
Yeah Murdoch is so anti lib
who said that?
jesus you are a fucking retard
contribute absolutely nothing useful
it wasnt just boomers everyone supported the covid measures
tbh the boomers were less enthusiastic about them than young people which is bizarre
scomo would have been politically stupid to try to stop lockdowns
the premiers were giving us what we wanted
None of those young people would vote Lib anyway
The problem for the Libs was the paranoiac old people who wanted eternal lockdown to save their wrinkly asses
Nowadays they mostly don’t even care about COVID
he 100% could have withheld the vax registry from the states and then itd of been bye bye mandates
easily could have stopped lockdowns in victoria too through various methods
he was totally cowardly throughout it but better a coward than pure evil like albo would have been
can you imagine if he had tried to do that
DLS and the Norman “Swan” would have had a literal meltdown The entire media the premiers, albo
would have called it mass murder
no, it wasn’t possible for him to stop it
it was possible, itd of just meant he’d of lost the election
he lost anyway so its irrelevant
it didnt save him
id of gone full nuclear if i was him, with-held the vax registry, defunded victoria etc
100% not possible
would have gone to supreme court
and the captured boomer judiciary would have stopped him
He doesn’t have the power to do any of that shit
can’t you even remember the hysteria behind the “multiple ministries” bullshit?
arent they a bunch of liberal conseratives on the high court (lmao supreme court)
i have nfi how theyd of ruled on it tbh given no vax mandate challenge has ever made it that far
and doesnt it take like months to be heard too, by the time itd of gotten there covid would have been “over” anyway
are you fucking dennis denuto now?
explain the constitutional power by which scomo can overrule state premiers
was he going to send in the fucking army to arrest dan andrews and try him in a military court at guantanamo
Well then Dan fucking snookered him if he was completely powerless except for him and Frydo to make bitchy snide comments which did nothing
the cuckold australian constitution and national origin as a penal colony is what snookered him
even fucking trump was powerless to stop the bullshit covid theatre going on in american states like california
What’s the relevance of Trump here
Typical Coming confirmation bias that we see on every issue
You like ScoMo therefore he was powerless to do otherwise on all his failures
Even the media run by Murdoch and Peter Costello were out to get him poor thing
youre too stupid to participate in this conversation
What the fuck is confirmation bias in this case?
the US president (Trump in this case) is imbued legally with far more power than the australian prime minister, yet Trump (who was the president) was powerless to stop the states from enacting their own restrictions and mandates
by what powers could scomo, as australian PM, overrule the state health ministers and state premiers
I’ll be interested to hear your take as an expert on constitutional law
Unlike you I’m not gonna regurgitate Wikipedia to confirm my preexisting beliefs
If ScoMo was truly powerless then he and Frydo were fucking morons making so many bitch comments about Victoria and also WA which they actually sued to try to kill off their lockdown (which actually worked unlike in VIC). Maybe you think comparing WA to The Croods is a high IQ move.
Your boy never had a chance and you can blame everyone else but it’s pathetic bludger logic.
Morrison was hated and ridiculed within his own party.
Link is paywalled, but opens with 12ft.io
There has been no official autopsy of the Liberal Party’s extraordinary collapse at the ballot box last Saturday, but more than a dozen current and former MPs, party officials and advisers who have spoken with The Saturday Paper in the wake of the bruising loss have reflected on a campaign so dense and so small-minded that an implosion was all but guaranteed.“He fucked us and his fingerprints are absolutely fuckin’ everywhere on that. The bloke thinks he is a master strategist. He is a fuckwit.”“We spent a full fucking week being transphobes in parliament and then we spent weeks during the campaign doing the exact same thing, and it was fucking insane,” an MP says. “The transphobe thing was an absolute disaster. We clearly didn’t have enough economic policies. I think the strategy, such as it was, was to repeat the 2019 election campaign, but that was never going to be adequate for a few reasons.”Chief among them was that Scott Morrison had become deeply unpopular in the eyes of the electorate. “I think it took people three years to realise what a horrible person he is,” a Liberal Party insider says.

It’s not surprising Coming is a fan as he shares similar grandiose beliefs about the value of his own opinions.
“As I understand it, the [Crosby Textor polling firm] tracking we were having done was deteriorating on some metrics and staying flat on others. It was the opposite in 2019. And where it once confirmed Morrison’s self-belief, this was different. I don’t think he was capable of truly adapting to the tracking. In fact, I don’t think he believed it was correct.“Everything else was wrong and he was right.”

“Everything else was wrong and he was right.”
Of course, like Morrison he is also increasingly out of touch with reality.
In the Prime Minister’s Office, as loyal staff followed Morrison’s every command or pre-empted his wishes, a sort of conqueror’s fantasy set in after the 2019 “miracle” win. According to observers, it eventually manifested in a near total break with reality.Morrison was a “political genius” and a virtuoso campaigner, a brilliant tactician with a canine-like ability to hear the high-frequency pleas of the otherwise Quiet Australians. What hasn’t been mentioned in this article is how Morrison trashed his own NSW Liberal branch in the pre-selection debacle with his factional deputy Alex Hawke.
In an email to party members on Tuesday, NSW Liberal senator Andrew Bragg and women’s council delegate Jane Buncle proposed several changes to the party’s constitution to prevent a repeat of the stalemate over candidate selection.“Your rights as members of our great party were taken away before the election,” Bragg and Buncle wrote. “The Liberal Party is Australia’s most successful grassroots movement. It is not a dictatorship and we will not be successful without the engagement of you, our members.

So there we have it – compared to a dictator by his own branch. Unsurprisingly when Dutton was became party leader the first thing he did was to demote and sideline Morrison allies like Hawke.
Something ScoMo could have done was actually quarantine foreigners somewhere remote (imagine that in Australia) so that the Premiers wouldn’t put them up in city hotels and fuck everyone over.
Of course he only wanted to go to church and NRL and otherwise never did anything so somehow immigration stopped being a Commonwealth responsibility.
Fucking COVID memories resurfacing now.
he doesnt havae to overrule state premiers, but he can withhold funding on various things etc
he 100% could have not given them the vax register then they wouldnt have been able to run mandates anywhere
It might have been peak Australia.
another $100m to fight climate change in vietnam (ie line the pockets of government officials)
We need to bribe these cunts to send us migrants that will fuck us over even more. EZFKA only intensifying
Vietnam is actually a better place to live, less Poos and better standard of living, no African gangs doing home invasions every night like Melbourne etc.
yellow brick road guy isn’t having it.
Wilko is such western Sydney garbage. Never grew out of that working poor/welfare scum mentality of scamming, scheming, and shadiness.
Poor Australians are the worst just have to go through these areas it will prove it every time.
shes mutton dressed as mutton
also that reminds me, has anyone noticed grace tame hasnt been heard from in quite a while
maybe shes laying low given whats going on with britt
lisa Wilkinson exposed being “racist”
whete do these tapes come from lmao
and why are they coming out now haha
incel culture slowly permeating through the normies
the black pill is inescapable
the light of the universe bends towards LDAR
Jeez it would be so funny to see that giant retard of a husband too. They’d be wailing in their mansion at the injustice of it all.
This is the biggest laugh I’ve had for ages. 23 secs is Fitzsimmons’ bets bit where the Frenchie sleeps him. Hahaha
I think Lisa is a narcissist. Britanny a compulsive liar. Extremist, girls can do no wrong feminism brought out the worst of any girl with issues like that. Most famously the Karens.
This extreme feminism should be considered terrorism.
If you analyse this whole drama, timing and all, this is another political hack job. Higgins claims came out Feb 2021, 15 months prior to the Federal election. Her job was to tarnish ScoMo’s reputation (and the entirety of Coalition by extension), and she did her job well.
An allegation of rape is 90% proof that it indeed occur. Because no woman would ever make something like this up, it is extremely humiliating and painful, a victim’s soul gets taken, and you’ve all heard the rest.
So the accused is guilty, at least in the court of public opinion, especially that the rape occurred in Canberra, a powerful men’s club of sorts. Then details come out how one party “protected” the accused, and they become guilty by association of covering up rape, which is quickly becoming the most heinous crime around these parts.
Now, before you jump all over me, I do not condone rape, and I have all the sympathy and empathy to the real victims of real crimes. But this thing had a “political hit job” written all over it in large fluorescent letters, the moment it stopped being about Britt, and started being about the Coalition.
What you are witnessing now can be one of two things.
I pick option 2. Remember, it is all about getting re-elected, and incumbent always has an upper hand, unless there is a dress with a stain or under the bed.
Brucie should run for the seat of Wentworth, or in the Senate.
interest rates back to 2012 levels
rental yields back to 2012 levels
who would have guessed it ?
Thailand inflation rate down to 0.5%
from 8% in 2022
Thailand has the second lowest interest rate in the world 2.0%
I was told rates need to be higher than inflation in order to “work”
Whats going on guys ?
No Jobkeeper and other COVID rorts still flowing through the system, exports slowing, tourism yet to rebound anywhere close to pre-COVID levels, baht has maintained its strength.
Leopard tanks dying in Ukraine
Ukraine will be rattling the collection tin again soon, Albo better get the wallet out
Are these real tanks or just some personnel carriers and such?
also, does Russian airforce basically control the sky? Because I’m guessing planes can probably knock out ground targets much more easily than the other way around
no both the russian and ukrainian airforce havent been very impactful in this war
there are too many soviet aa-systems on both sides to make aerial operations viable a lot of the time, armies don’t want to risk losing pilots and their extremely expensive planes so they keep them grounded
we’ve been seeing more russian air activity recently bc theoretically ukrainian aa is now quite degraded but soviet aa style systems (even the upgraded older ones the ukrainians are still using) are really effective, their quality was underestimated due to the the experience of the gulf war and saddam hussein having an especially incompetent air defense corps
They’re real tanks
They have pretty good control of the sky but there are still SAM launchers and MANPADS around so it’s not unlimited. And in general the Russian air force is second-best compared to the US, so it doesn’t have the ability to just trash the Ukrainian army like what the US did to Libya (Libya also didn’t have anywhere near as good gear as Ukraine has).
I think these tanks were actually destroyed by artillery, but Russian attack helicopters are doing a lot of damage to the Ukrainian advance elsewhere on the front.
the americans have the best air force so the soviets built the best anti air defense force in response
itd be like if someone showed up at a pokemon battle with 6 charizards, you would bring 6 blastoises to the fight to counter it
ukrainian and russian aa capacities are a legacy of soviet investment in AA, it is really hard for either side to use planes without them getting shot down, but obviously russia has a greater degree of air superiority, just no aerial supremacy
The showdown between F-16s (if they ever arrive) and Russian AA will be fun, like some rumble in the jungle shit.
I’m expecting to see them get shot down pretty soon after making their debut.
it will be horrible pr for them
go look up what happened in serbia when america had to fight somebody semi-decent with the capability to fight bak, the serbs kept shooting down their expensive planes and they had to ground a lot of them bc it was so humiliating
The F-35 would probably be even worse what with its tendency to randomly crash but the US would never let anyone use it in Ukraine while it still has a long export life ahead of it
what happened in libya was absolutely criminal it was the most shameful thing ever, i was watching that more closely than i have been with ukraine
gadaffi was murdered
Funny thing about Gaddafi was that he was pretty much on board with the West at the time they decided to ice him
He scrapped Libya’s nuclear program after the Iraq invasion (how did he do compared to North Korea?). He was stopping migrants from coming to Europe in an agreement with Italy.
Libya was a pretty decent country to live in, lots of Scandinavian style welfare perks like free education, preferential home loans that Coming would love.
I’m not sure why they decided he had to go, whether it was all of the ideological bullshit surrounding democracy and the Arab Spring, or just old hatred from the Reagan era. Obviously it wasn’t anything to do with protecting civilians because the US was happy to help Saudi Arabia kill Yemeni civilians a little later. And I think they only had Bucha-style shit to pin on Gaddafi anyway.
That one is easy. Qaddafi was demanding money from the EU to control its borders from African migrants.
So he was “blackmailing” Europe. Bad person!
But the REAL reason he got thrown out of power and sodomised with a bayonette (yes, there were videos of his death) was his desire for a prosperous Africa and an introduction of gold dinar as an oil trading currency, not the US dollar.
The only other person before Quaddafi to suggest selling its country’s oil in currency other than the US dollar was some Saddam Hussein bloke. You all know what happened to him.
Of course since that, two other countries started trading hydrocarbons in other currencies. And a new threat has emerged – China and Russia.
And then the USA had accused a de facto ruler of yet another country of murdering and dismembering of a journalist, so just a couple of months ago MBS of Saudi Arabia had too decided to trade oil in other currencies. And join BRICS.
See where this geopolitical game is going?
the americans HAD the best air force so the soviets built the best anti air defense force in response
El Fuhrer – this is a good thread on the Air Superiority that the US once enjoyed in respect of milssles.
Turns out that importing damaged (or just inverted) individuals comes with costs.
…quite apt that it’s mostly the children copping it…
last week: deny that fraud or collusion took place
—> wilkos texts and racist phone calls get leaked confirming it did take place
—> fraud and collusion did take place but it was the right thing to do bcos girl power
not to defend wilko or anything, but relisten to her alleged ‘racist’ thing that libreals/cuckservatives are now clutching their pearls over
the clear implication of what she was saying in the tape was that the LNP is racist
“she clearly got in, it was a safe seat’ — implying an indigenous woman could only get elected by the LNP if it was in a safe electorate bc no LNP voter would vote for an abo otherwise bc theyre racist
couldnt pronounce the abo woman name bc frankly no one can, she wasn’t deliberately mocking
she was having a go at the LNP’s alleged self-commitments to diversity/inclusion of abos/women from her own perspective, not actually saying anything racist lmao
seriously ppl need to relisten to it, i’m right
You’re way off base on this
she’s absolutely dripping with contempt and sarcasm
think you just don’t have any experience with Balmain Karen’s living as you do beyond Bourke
”and our cleaners black”
come on mate
lisa is our Hillary Clinton
idk they were talking on behalf of the liberal party, go relisten to it
“and we know black people” – guy who was saying this was imitating the thoughts of a libeal
“and OUR cleaners black” lisa very well could have just been joining in on the joke, not speaking on behalf of herself, why would she have been given the conversational context
im 100% right here
“and we know black people” –guy mocking a liberal trying to deflect not sounding racist
“and our cleaners black!” – lisa trying to also mock a liberal by saying a deliberately out of touch comment that she thinks some rich liberal politician/whatever would say if they were trying to deflect a criticism of racism
it is very clearly taken out of context lmao, you dont have to know balmain karens are evil witches or lisa wilkinson is a cunt to realise this
i 100% doubt she has a black cleaner if she has a cleaner at all, she wasnt talking on behalf of herself. she was talking on behalf of a hypothetical so called “racist” liberal politician bc that was the train of the conversation
seriously relisten to it with my statements in mind youll get exactly what im trying to say
they were making fun of what progressive faggot losers think is a huge faux par which is trying to pander to ethnic minorities andallege theyre not racist bc “theyve got a black friend”, lisa upped it by saying “and our cleaners black!!!” so its some rich out of touch conservative hypothetical cunt claiming theyre not racist bc they have a nigger maid
there was no other way her interjection fit the context of the conversation otherwise
look at this bullshit
total other side point scoring, conservative retards and left wing retards trying to out-pearl clutch each other on racist outrage
a shameful display, race to the bottom
She blocked everyone on Twitter earlier in the week for a reason
she must have known this was coming out
you’re way off on this one brother
she is finished
”we exude power”
turns out the minister who hastily approved britts $3m payout was invited to David Sharaz wedding
(to his first wife that he later ditched for Britt after the “rape”)
up to their necks and sinking
Is it being covered on The Project?
That’s where us Milennials go to get told what to think.
you might not be concerned, but senator price is offended, and demanding an apology from channel 10
go off, kings
ya ofc shes going to do that its a political points scoring exercise
go re listen to it man, ‘our black cleaner’ was clearly not talking about her self
She did everything other than say boong
Some people still conflating stocks and flows. Aggregate ec onomicics ffs. China is a mecrantilist entities which writes gdp before it happens. Money is no cr e acted exclusively at banks
Auction scenes at Chatswoo
Except that the majority of Chinese have never seen these pics, and the majority of Leftards only think it was just Tank Man waving his bag of fried rice in front of the tank.
That’s almost as many Asians as the US killed in any given hour in Vietnam
Lisa Wilkinson “and my cleaner’s black..”
See it’s only nasty bogans are racist.
Lmao. Pay the money back.
Lehrmann’s Defamation case is going to be an absolute ripper.
They’re 40-love already with all these released emails, texts and conversations. Brucey’s lawyers and PR hacks are killing it. I can’t even imagine the damage those Labor bitches will cop.
Case starts in Fed Court today doesn’t it?
I’d put money on it that Libs actually have the most non-white MPs or would be MPs now. Libs love their new westies.
