Anthony Albanese has again defended the need for mass immigration to pay for pensions, after again raising the pension age to 67 on July 1.
Albo also didn’t rule out a commitment to raising the pension age to 70 by 2050 when immigration is anticipated to be a trillion a year.
“We need more migrants to pay for pensions, that’s why I’m raising the pension age to cover all those pensions that bringing in record numbers of migrants was supposed to do over the last 30 years,”Albanese said.
“The pension won’t be around in five years, neither will Medicare or the NDIS at the current rate of migration, so enjoy the last days of bulk billing that the ALP remains committed to protecting.”
Albanese also didn’t rule out the confiscation of superannuation to pay for the pension black hole.
