NSW Labor leader Chris Minns has pledged to help struggling renters and landlords in Sydney by allowing planning concessions to stuff 20 migrants in to a one-bedroom apartment, up from the current ten allowable by law.
Minns has also hired Meriton’s Harry Trigaboff as his campaign manager with the aim of making housing affordability the #1 issue.

All of the grand infrastructure projects (Snowy Hydro II, Fast Rail, Suburban Loop) are just to accommodate more consumers or move them around. Nothing for actual productive businesses.
Even if we got a massive recession, they’ll still import people just to juice the GDP numbers. It will only stop once the lifestyle difference between us and the developing world converges. The UK will reach that by the end of the decade. We will probably have more time, but importing 200,000 alone into Sydney will probably mean Sydney will take the crown of the first EZFKA city to go back to developing status.
