I think we’ve had a pretty good run given that no one is paid and no one is selling anything. I have enjoyed our conversations over the last few years but I wonder if maybe it’s time to call it quits. Let’s review things first.
Winning@failing was crazy and deserved all the attacks. No one missed him when he left. However, Coming, for all his faults, was a wonderful foil, but in the end, he was attacked constantly and so he left. Timbo never participated in discussions, but he had some useful things to say, and was pretty funny. Then people started attacking him, and he left. Since his departure we’ve gone down to one post a month and the number of respondants and responses is dwindling. Peachy started getting attacked by Stewie and so she has stopped contributing in the comments. Stagmal has also stopped contributing so much, I’m not sure why. Maybe he already knows what we’re going to say to most of his points so why make them??? There are many others who have stopped stopping by. Some can’t handle the level of racism. Some were too communist. Some got bored. One of Dictator Dave’s last posts was how it was all such a waste of time.
This might be fun: everyone check through the site history, query it with an LLM or two, find your favourite and most memorable posts and comments and share them here, and your views on how and whether this site could proceed.

To which I’d add, 4 years later, the “hunter-gatherer societies are matriarchies” theme is pretty much straight up marxism. I think that is a little unfair – if you look back at most of our interactions it was Peachy who felt as though she had to respond or initiate attacks on me; firstly in my criticism of Jews and Zionists (a criticism which imho is finally gaining more widespread appreciation) and secondly when discussing the collective impact of female decision making.
In all of these discussions I tried to politely and rationally explain my opinions on both topics. But more importantly bent over backwards on the second item re woman to say that the individual was not the group and that there were many exceptions, she could still not help but take offense – as though every criticism of the Matriarchy was a criticism of herself.
The final straw was when she started tag teaming with CommentBot about a year ago, which is when finally lost all respect for her:

Up until that point I had been careful to couch my remarks out of respect for her own efforts in setting up this site, and the more pleasant discussions we had had at the start, and had tried to either ignore her sniping or futilely tried to explain why I held those views.
When someone finally crosses the line there is no coming back – I will give people a lot of leeway in discussions, but when they relentlessly attack me over my views every time I choose to comment, “reply guying” to my comments instead of ignoring them, then acted surprised and the victim when I finally stopped choosing to ignore them and give up on trying to politely defuse the disagreement or explain my position to them and instead pointed both barrels at them.
One of the best on here for mine. Even my husband takes the time to read your comments.

Yes – it is unfortunate. The technical issues with logging in and posting comments that have plagued this site for the past 6mths or so has proven to be very disruptive in terms of maintaining conversational and posting flow.
The heady days of 2021 were definitely the high point – I still go back and have an occasional look at some of those earlier threads, but there have been lots of good ones subsequent to them too. Pity we lost Timbo – his posts were good and appreciated. Still not sure why he left… I think one of his posts got deleted and he called it quits.

We could use the money for some marketing and more regular writing. If I was paid, I’d put a lot more effort into researching. AIs are enabling such easy data collection now…I’ve achieved things in minutes that would have taken half a day, just in tabulating data from unstructured public sources.
Nemsis reckons tech is the the issue. Maybe we need more epxensive, more powerful, stable servers with better bandwidth, but I wouldn’t want something snazzy and custom. That would be a maintenance nightmare. However, for a site like this privacy and security are really important. Free speech requires industrial strength security, and more so the bigger you get.
I’ve been feeling a lot like a journalist tying to keep his job in a dying newspaper lately. However, as much as I’d like this to succeed, I’m here to contribute what I want to contribute, not what I think others need to hear in order to encourage their engagement. I want people to engage with me, not merely with what I am selling. You probably feel much the same.
Knowing the gentlemen who made the offer, it would be genuine – he has been involved in a number of Legacy Australian activities over the years, getting a number of projects off the ground, and achieving some legendary anonymous success in trolling the Australian media in that time.
I doubt there would be significant sponsorship, but it might at least cover the running costs of keeping the subscriptions auto-renewing. This alone would stop a lot of the offline periods that imho have significantly impacted returnism ie people getting in the habit of visiting the site and checking the discussions.
I would be interested in finding out how much additional infrastructure and cost is incurred in keeping this site running.
Also, as I have not particularly researched into blogging sites I was also interested in finding out more about if there are any viable alternatives to Word Press that could achieve the same ends, keeping in mind the two overarching principals – security and anonymity.
I agree that with the advances in AI it is becoming an easier proposition to compile articles, however the main thing holding me back has been the ever dwindling readership – which is something that would also need to be addressed and rectified.

On a completely different note, I remember having a conversation about sun cycles. Someone on MB had been talking about them, making outlandish claims. The gist of it was that COVID was just after a solar minimum and would therefore trigger a big collapse. Which it did, although short lived. Wish I could find the conversation. Well I just read we have passed the solar maximum in October and tonight 3 coronial mass ejections are hitting us almost simultaneously. It should be a terrific light show and might be as big as May 2024. There are unlikely to be any more for quite some time.

There are three types of lesbians.
1. Women exposed to high levels of androgen in the womb can be affect in a variety of ways. For example it has been linked to the development of certain masculine traits in the face, like a longer face, other studies have backed this up.
It makes sense that it also impacts them cognitively. Many, but not all women with high androgen exposure are simply the opposite of flamboyantly gay men – they think more like men in terms of the spectrum of personality traits they eventually land on, including liking those with opposite traits, ie women.
On a % basis the likelihood of these women being lesbians hasn’t changed (although with the terrible Trans ideology many of these women have been tricked into thinking they are men and becoming Trans mini-men).
2. While some women who are sexually abused or raped can recover from these PTSD events, understandably a predictable percentage will never recover and find men repulsive and the idea of sex with a man horrific.
Depending on background levels of stranger rape, which are also much more likely to involve high levels of violence, the ‘creation’ of lesbians through these events could vary. With rapes rising throughout Europe, mainly as a result of invader immigrants, it could be expected that this type of Lesbian would be coming more common.
[Aside: Rape is very much a weapon of war and European politicians who have allowed this to happen, should be hung in their city squares alongside the rapist immigrants they allowed to be imported]
3. Finally women are higher in agreeableness and more open minded – especially to experience.
Combining these traits with the explosion in the secular population who are now freed of the strictures of religious taboos (taboos that are actually well earned in terms of having long term, well functioning societies), AND combined with state enforced and taught ideology about LGTB which deliberately and artificially confers status upon them through all their ‘celebration’ weeks and days and parades, then it is hardly surprising that an increasing percentage of women are now identifying as lesbians.
Nothing will change. Kids are already devising ways to circumvent the e-Karen. It will be like tobacco tax, worked at first and then didn’t.

EmBee has been writing some really good articles lately particularly around the decline of Victoria, gas cartel and of course immigration. Having Tarric Brooker write a few articles helps. LVO has a YT channel that I may listen to now and again.
I feel they have done good work with the gas cartel, but too few people understand the complexities of the electricity market. I have tried to explain electricity pricing to people and get blank stares. Yes, these are supposedly university educated people.
But as 90kwbeast has pointed out, their business model has been wrong. Australian government will back property prices come hell or high water and Nathan Birch worked that one out long before them.
Recognising something is not the same as understanding it, let alone an ability to give advice.

I think after December, into the first half of the new year US equity beta is a buy. Has tailwind for now of lowering oil prices which is good for US consumer. US dollar looks strong here for now.
European equity beta, particularly Germany, is a sell after a good run.
Australian equity has had some correction but I think next direction is buy, has tailwinds of iron ore, nickel and lithium in global reflation. Also rba is most likely to cut into accelerating growth. Dls will be pleased with the increased homelessness.

More than a few of Australias issues are global but what is missing is a democratic reflex and response to counter some of the largest challenges such as mass immigration.

Your analogy about mass immigration in Australia being like US gun laws is absolutely spot on. I can not see the immigration rate ever being cut. As much as I would like to think that a major drought or financial crisis would drop the immigration rate, the elites will just double down.

Are the current US gun control laws disastrous? What new laws would solve the problem of gun violence? Having guns is the most American thing ever. It’s like getting Australians to stop smoking or drinking beer.
Many, many guns are already out there and confiscation is never going to happen. Much of the gun violence is in places where guns are not allowed. Maybe if ghetto blacks didn’t have guns, it would improve the gun violence statistics, but again… that’s not ever going to happen.
