AAT member looking forward to another day of giving foreign criminals their visas back

A member of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal has expressed his enthusiasm online for another day of destroying Australia’s public safety by overturning decisions made by Home Affairs on visas.

AAT member Mark Leibenberg posted a lengthy tribute on Linkedin to undermining the integrity of Australia’s social fabric and immigration system, by giving visas back to criminals who have had their visas cancelled.

‘Blessed to have another day of subverting faith in Australia’s immigration and justice system by hearing sob stories from Sudanese criminals and giving them their 250th chance at recidivism,” Liebenberg wrote.

‘If Deng has lived here most of his life, been in and out of the justice system without ever bothering to apply for citizenship while being a complete shitstain on Australian society, then I’m proud to fight to take up his fight against racism and discrimination and his right to invade your home without consequence.”

Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus also said he was introducing legislation to jail any Australian that criticsed an AAT decision.

is the aat still around? it has to be the worst govt body ever devised

Agent 47

Yup. Dreyfus has renamed it as well and intends to stack it with ALP appointees to replace it with the LNP duopoly appointees.

Another charade institution.

Stewie

It is the Jews favorite anti-democratic weapon. They finally rolled it out when that pedophile Whitlam was elected.

Australia’s AAT was set up in 1975 under the AAT act by Gough Whitlam

Guess why they implemented it:

Australia’s AAT was set up in 1975 under the AAT act by Gough Whitlam and was designed to bring Australia’s laws into harmony with the AAT framework established by the UN in 1950, which was to be the final arbiter over alleged non-observance of contracts of employment and other binding regulations of all staff working in the United Nations Secretariat.

In 1958 this framework was extended to include immigration.

Member states were then persuaded to adopt the same AAT framework.

Guess who lobbied for it, after Australia held out from joining it right up to 1975:

Gough rolled over for his tummy to be tickled not only for the Walt Whitman lobby group

Losing the ability to control who we are allowed to kick out of our country was the first step first step in the lose of our sovereignty.

Drago
Drago
SoylentGreen

Possibly. The main use case for the AAT was also as a tribunal mechanism to contest decisions made under commonwealth law. Whilst migration and refugee cases get a lot of the spotlight, it is a review body for many bodies, Centrelink decisions feature highly too, Medicare etc…

Interestingly, the Migrstion Review Tribunal and Refugee Review Tribunal as they were previously known did not permit any additional material to be presented in their case but this changed after Rudd got in the first time.

Another element of the AAT is to prevent the Fed courts getting clogged up with reviews of administrative decisions…

Don’t get me wrong, some of the decisions coming out have been atrocious, but I don’t see this as a mechanism to subvert statutory authority as such…

Stewie

A new mechanism needs to be developed then in order to provide appeals because as it currently stands it is deeply anti-democratic.

My understanding is that the AAT was originally brought in to harmonise immigration laws between the UN and other signatory nations, and that the broad brush that Whitlam implemented it extended the review process to all Federal Commenwealth decision making.

At the very least non-citizens DON’T have the same rights as citizens, and thus should be exempted from appealing to the AAT.

In fact I dare say those who accept their ancestors were convicts and embrace it – are more likely to be good Australians. Unlike the “it’s the jews/negroes/abos/slopes/poojeets” mob, they understand that human societal traits are not related to genetics. Having a criminal ancestor is not a sign of one’s own propensity.

Around the english speaking west they’ve mostly voted in cuckservative parties for the last 30 years. They’ve been lied to massively. A normal life is very consuming so when they come home from work knackered it’s understandable that they don’t want to spend hours on MB etc. Although I would say we’ve been at that ‘it takes two to tango’ point for at least 10 years now so there’s no excuses anymore. One of the truly exciting things about mass immi governments getting turfed is that there’s so much consensus.

commentBot

pity the next gov is just as pro mass immigration.

No1

I’m hoping neither major will be able to rule in majority again and then we can work from there

Although LibLab supporters don’t really give a shit whether mass immi has any popular support, it’ll be undeniably a poison pill that nothing can make up for if it lands Lab a 1 term PM

Lab is shit but IMO it would be doing better if it kept immigration at 2019 levels

stagmal

not having the majors in majority just means you have a bunch of diarrhea like the teals and jacuqie lambie which is arguably even worse

No1

Teals are much easier to replace with another independent compared to a major party machine

And they’re not appreciably worse than LibLab MPs, especially the types those seats elect

Whoever gets into power will become the new major party, attracting the $$$ looking to influence and the people looking for power and will very quickly end up just like the existing majors.

Lobbyists have invested billions (or maybe millions considering our pollies are cheap dates) into corrupting these two parties

They’ll have to start again on a new party or group of independents which has to keep control of an increasingly radicalised electorate

This is the best that we can hope for under present conditions

commentBot

A new party will end up picking up a heap of people from the failed party pre-corrupted and the trough will cause a massive influx of easily corruptible pigs to joing the new party.

Independents ultimately have little power in the day to day running of the government/country.
eg. Immigration numbers are a policy thing, not a law thing, so purely at the discretion of PM/cabinet.

No1

People are not going to vote for an independent whose CV is like, I was a Labor hack but now Labor is kill so elect me as an independent plz.

People that dumb would just vote for the brand they recognise.

The infiltration of ex LibLab staffers is defs a concern but the only way they can obtain the same level of control as before is if every single Indepedent is a fraud and that would take us to levels of corruption which are beyond even EU countries.

Surprised at the pushback here tbh, considering we’re basically in the worst of all possible worlds as far as political representation, is it so inconceivable that things can marginally improve

Is it so impossible that we can have a Viktor Orban to call our own or can we only ever have a pallet swapped Albo

onsidering we’re basically in the worst of all possible worlds as far as political representation, is it so inconceivable that things can marginally improve

That hope you are holding onto is what has kept dual dictatorship as the dominant form of government for so long in western countries. It diverts the attention of anyone likely to agitate for real effective change.

The idea that independents will be voted in and have any sort of real power is laughable. They can bargain for trinkets if they have the balance of power but lib/lab will vote as a block for anything significant that needs to be voted through.

People are not going to vote for an independent whose CV is like, I was a Labor hack but now Labor is kill so elect me as an independent plz.

If you go through the entire history of the australian federal parliament most independents that ever got elected into parliament were first elected into parliament as a member of a major party and then quit and ran as independent or got kicked out of their party.

commentBot

The teals provide a good case study for why this is so.
The resources required to actually become well enough known to get enough votes to get into parliament are beyond a normal persons reach. You need money and logistical support behind you to have any hope at all.

No1

So tell us how to achieve real effective change then plz

And why it’s made easier/more realistic by not disrupting LibLab domination of Parliament to the extent which is possible

stagmal

“So tell us how to achieve real effective change then plz”

The current situation is an intended result of westminster democracy. To change it you need to change the form of government.

The only thing that ever brings about significant change is revolution and mostly violent revolution.

But for something a little more positive if I was made dictator a direct democracy is what I would institute as a better solution.

And why it’s made easier/more realistic by not disrupting LibLab domination of Parliament to the extent which is possible

Why it isn’t made easier is because the system simply creates a new lib/lab that has all the same incentives and powers as the existing ones and will end up the same way.

Do you have a single example in any of the westminster based representative democracies where that has actually worked to achieve significant change?

Edit: I guess fiji is an example without a strong duopoly party structure, the military coups seem to be a bit of a downside though…

The US Republican party was a new party which elected Lincoln within a few years of its founding and dramatically changed the USA by winning the Civil War and abolishing slavery.

I’m not enough of a history expert to say whether a party 100 years older could have created changes as radical, but it seems less likely to me.

I dunno if you’re just here to be contrarian but I find the idea that Lib/Lab is inevitable like Judgment Day in the Terminator franchise and it’s pointless even to try to threaten their grip because they’ll just come back near-instantly a bit implausible.

If every politician is so unavoidably corrupt and easily corruptible, can you explain why there are politicians like Viktor Orban who resist huge pressure and likely threats of assassination to remain nationalist? I think what we saw in Slovakia shows there are plenty of incentives to tow the line and yet it doesn’t always happen…

Last edited 27 days ago by No1
commentBot

Lib/lab aren’t inevitable.
A group of politicians that can be bought off easily are inevitable in the system we have.
It is essentially a requirement for any party to achieve power. It requires advertising $$$, a party machine to run campaigns, do publicity etc. All that stuff costs money and peoples time, which mostly equals money as well.

The people with the $$$ will simply buy off the new party. Most of the big donors currently donate to both lib and lab.

For example the TEALS represent the values of the person funding them, and nothing else.
How could it be otherwise? They were literally hand picked by the person providing the money.

and dramatically changed the USA by winning the Civil War and abolishing slavery.

The civil war is what dramatically changed the USA, not the election of lincoln.

No1

Europe is electing nationalist parties and a few of them have turned out to be actually nationalistic, despite epic amounts of pressure from the US and EU. The fact that Australia is so cucked doesn’t prove in any way that the mostly cost-free exercise of voting Lib/Lab out is futile.

We can’t do any worse where the composition of Parliament is concerned.

The site’s content is characterized by its satirical nature, mocking current events and policies through outlandish and provocative articles.

The concept behind EZFKA is to depict Australia not as a traditional nation, but as an economic zone primarily focused on resource competition, sidelining shared history and cultural values in favor of economic narratives. This framework is used to critique the state of the country’s society and politics (EZFKA) (EZFKA).

For example, articles might feature headlines like “Bill Shorten orders execution of Australian man for creating job not linked to the NDIS” or “Albanese announces plan to reduce violence against women by requesting High Court of Australia to release more foreign criminals,” clearly designed to satirize and provoke thought about real-world issues and decisions (EZFKA).

They’re worse than libs because they also have all the virtue signalling baggage of feminised/gay progressive politics.

Kylea Tink won North Sydney and she has been useless.

The only thing she managed to achieve is a neurotic meltdown in parliament because she didn’t like the way a bloke spoke to her.

Independents never achieve anything if there is a majority government, and they don’t achieve a lot even if they have the balance of power.
Why would the gov listen to anything an independent has to say if they don’t need their vote?
Getting an independent voted into your local electorate is worse than getting a lib/lab member. At least the major party hack has some sort of influence on the gov in power half the time.

And why it’s made easier/more realistic by not disrupting LibLab domination of Parliament to the extent which is possible

I agree – this is the way. It is also why PHON has been such a dissappointment and more than anything is playing the role of controlled opposition.

The first priority of any party that gets into power, in terms of first holding the balance of power, must use its power to expose the Lib/Lab duopoly.

They need to be ungovernable in that they cannot provide the Libs (as presumably this is the reactive side were a new party will emerge from) the opportunity to carry on as business as usual.

They need to be prepared to genuinely oppose any Lib policy that clashes with their own and force the Govt to time and again approach Labor.

Basically any new NEEDS to become the genuine Opposition, and if necessary force, election after election is the Govt refuses to accept the policy demands the new party are making.

Lib and Lab need to be exposed as the elites tag teaming fuckwits that they are.

commentBot

asically any new NEEDS to become the genuine Opposition, and if necessary force, election after election is the Govt refuses to accept the policy demands the new party are making.

And this is where the whole thing falls down as a practical idea. It only works if the people seeking power are seeking power for altruistic purpose and are happy to sacrifice their position in parliament by forcing an election.

Anyone cunning/devious/selfish enough to get into that position is doing it for the gain that they can achieve from it and isn’t going to throw it away by getting voted out a month after they get in by calling a new election.

The only true power independents with the balance of power have is to force a new election that is just as likely to see them voted out as the gov they are trying to bring down.

They need to be prepared to genuinely oppose any Lib policy that clashes with their own and force the Govt to time and again approach Labor.

Policy does not require a vote of parliament and they don’t need to approach the opposition. Only law changes require the support of parliament. The literal only thing that the independents can do after they have given their support and allowed the government to be sworn in is vote against them in a no confidence motion and trigger a new election.(see above for why that is actually highly unlikely)

Then the solution is to only run committed far right nationalists committed for the long march that is necessary.

And where do you find these people, how do you fund them and get them elected?

You might as well say “we need to get altruistic people into parliament that will act in the best interests of the electorate rather than their own interests”. Yes it will fix the problem, the one minor sticking point is how the fuck do you actually do it.

day 1 i’d say was like 9/10 now its about 4/10 today

They sound horrid – drink more water!!

bananaman

My big brother gets them every few years, they sound super horrid. Feeling for ya. I heard lemon water helps.

stagmal

does he have painkillers on hand ready to go for when he gets them? bc the first movement is the most painful by far

bananaman

No, he is one of the most stoic people I have ever known. If he says its painful it must be horrific.

Apparently soda sugars cause more stones and aspartame causes less.

It will be amusing watching imbeciles like you knocking back future treatments for cancer because they are mRNA based.

Facebook memes have destroyed boomer brains.

Noice, ‘imbecile’. Eloquent and educated.

Is that because I spoiled your auto expert’s expertise ointment?
Of course it is.

I am happy not to get chemo or jab based on Emma Renay. I still prefer to choose the way I die. Quite abstract for some to comprehend.
Besides, since Emma is quite experimental and it will stay that way forever, they will be likely want to experiment on unjabbed purebloods for better outcomes.

LOL, chances are I will be able to get ahead of the queue, ahead of boosted types like you.

If they pass proper trials and are deemed safe then I’m quite ok to take them.
Of course in many decades none have ever actually passed those trials and been deemed safe…

including the ones that went into widespread use.

I won’t have a choice, because drugs that haven’t passed those trials are not allowed to be given, except for a brief period of time when the medical profession went mad and have done enduring damage to their credibility.

Very good, thanks.

How many boosters so far?

None.

I’m lucky that I can mainly work from home and rarely have to go into settings where vaccination might be a requirement. Plus the current strains aren’t worth getting vaccinated against unless there’s some underlying health issue that greatly increases risk of death or disability.

Fortunately for you stupidity doesn’t necessarily increase your risk of dying from covid. It might raise your risk due to the downstream effects of being an imbecile, but it’s not a direct risk factor.

Keep cooking.

Did I understand corrctly that you are double jabbed with Emma Renay (and still justify it in 2024)

You’d be surprised how little of them remains when bullets fly above their heads and they post it on Twatter.
Western Europeans are emasculated and generally disinterested in anything but happiness. Fighters types have a meaning of life to defend. Happiness for them is secondsry. Most EuroUtopia members are detached from a meaning of life, want to be a cow on the pasture on hills of Wonthaggi.

Conspiracy thinking is telling me that the elites have been majorly impressed at how easy it has been to genocide the white male population of Ukraine and want to roll that out to the rest of the West.

Normie thinking is telling me that they’re starting to wake up to the fact that their ‘post history’ view of the world is progressive hubris and that they’re woefully ill equipped to back up their harsh words and saber rattling with anything other than nasty name calling.

Possibly a bit of both.

commentBot

So who plays russia in this fantasy and invades the west?
The US is a long way from anywhere, ditto australia, europe has russia at one end but they seem pretty occupied already…

Stewie

So who plays russia in this fantasy and invades the west?

I imagine Russia will play Russia in the fantasy, and they won’t invade the West.

Like Hitler Putin will only react to provocation. Each of Hitler’s “invasion” of neighboring countries was a result of provocation through attacks on ethnic Germans residing in those borders. As the pre-war mapping of where ethnic Germans resided illustrates.

Most of these borders had been redrawn barely two decades earlier as ‘rewards’ dolled out by the Allies in participating in the defeat of Germany, and the attacks against ethnic Germans, encouraged by the Bolsheviks in those nations was genuine. Russia won’t invade – its provocation will be to merely resist.

Unless there is a change in US leadership then the current regime will simply persist and all those troops on the ground providing ‘training’ will simply cross over to do the shooting to. Ukraine has every likelihood of turning into a bigger version of Vietnam – a coalition of trainers who eventually became the main fighting forces. The creeping normalisation of this conflict into a full blow war is something that I really fear.

The key to all of this will be what happens as the Ukrainian Army collapses in the next few months, at what point of advancement beyond say the Dnieper will be tolerated before a collective response is taken? Perhaps our regime will turn to persecuting other populations of ethnic Russians, like they did in the Ukraine, in order to draw out further responses?

The best that the world can hope for imho is a new cold war between the West and Russia, but this time around, thanks to the cultural wars and access to various strategic resources, I’m not sure the West is in nearly as strong a position as it was last time around

robert2013

The west deserves to fail. Some of our DNA will survive through those smart enough to see the writing on the wall and breed with the invaders. Just like the Neanderthals.

A fly in your ointment

Oswald Spengler said it was baked in as civilisation have biological cycles, all eventually die. When they come to “invaders” stage it is the end phase of it. He reckoned 100yrs ago that 2000 will be the beginning of the end.

So thats what the battle of britain was about as well? the attacks on the ethnic germans residing in britain that had been overtaken by border changes post WW1.
And the invasion of russia?
You really talk a lot of shit.
Frankly russia is already at the point where it is buying cheaper military hardware because it can’t sustain the losses it is taking. I don’t expect a full blown war will last all that long if the west becomes heavily involved.

Vietnam was a loss for the same reason afghanistan was a loss for both the US and USSR, the locals really didn’t want the invaders to win. In ukraine the locals are very likely to be pro US rather than russia given how long the war has already dragged on.
You could very strongly argue that vietnam was a win for china and russia who were acting in the same way for that conflict as the US is in the current russia-ukraine situation.

stagmal

Frankly russia is already at the point where it is buying cheaper military hardware

guess that must mean america etc are too given theyve been panhandling everyone all over the world from south korea to denmark to supply ukraine with artillery shells way longer and more aggressively than russia has

Stewie

So thats what the battle of britain was about as well? the attacks on the ethnic germans residing in britain that had been overtaken by border changes post WW1.

England declared war on Germany, not the other way around. I may talk shit but at least I get basic facts like that correct.

Frankly russia is already at the point where it is buying cheaper military hardware because it can’t sustain the losses it is taking.

Russia’s economy is growing faster than the whole of Europe and the US – it is buying additional equipment because it can afford to supplement its own industrial capacity with additional specialised purchases.

You really talk a lot of shit.

And you don’t? FFS , I made a comment to No.1 and you replied to it asking me an additional question, which I courteously replied to in good faith.

In ukraine the locals are very likely to be pro US rather than russia given how long the war has already dragged on.

A curious theory – how many Ukrainians have you asked to confirm your intuitive emotive hunch? Frankly your theory based on your uninformed feelings on Vietnam/Ukraine being different isn’t very interesting or compelling, but since you’ve been such a rude fuckwit so far, I won’t bother elaborating on why.

Not that it matters…

On 3 September 1939—two days after the German invasion of Poland—France declared war on Nazi Germany according to its defensive treaty with Poland,

You are not very good at this history thing – no wonder you swallowed the Holohoax hook, line and sinker and keep going back for seconds.

robert2013

I think more of the second. USA depleting its munitions stockpile while Russian industry has geared up for ongoing production.

commentBot

Russia is buying recreational side by sides from china to replenish its military vehicles. I’m thinking it’s production capabilities aren’t exactly awesome…

stagmal

this is cope

this war isnt going to be determined by productive capacity and neither side will ever run out of ‘stuff’

What am I coping about?

And russia is clearly approaching the limits of the amount of stuff it is willing to commit.

The US never ran out of stuff in vietnam or afghanistan yet they ended up leaving.

Ignoring the small issue that the US has exported a huge amount of its industrial base to China, and currently lacks the infrastructure to not only build 1/10th of the shipping tonnage that China can build, it would first have to rebuild the industrial capacity necessary to be able to rebuild the shipping industrial capacity it has lost.

The US today has no where near the industrial capacity of the US in the 1960’s – which was still basically un-updated WW2 and Korean military industrial capacity.
